چکیدهBackground: The cesarean section rate is rising around the world. Cesarean section can be considered as a major surgery and it has more dangerous complications than the normal vaginal delivery. According to statistics, the rate of cesarean is rising in our country. Therefore, the aim of this present review study was to survey the effect of education on the pregnant women in order to change their attitudes towards the cesarean section. Several studies showed a significant association between maternal education and the change in their attitudes towards the cesarean. Methods: This study is the result of a comprehensive review of studies using search engines such as Pubmed, Google scholar, Science direct, and Medline. Results: The survey of several studies showed that there is a significant relationship between the maternal education and the change in attitudes towards the caesarean. The results also showed that caesarean sections with no medical reasons in people who are trained are less than others. Statistical average of 100 investigated studies indicates that 76.3 percent of mothers choose cesarean delivery because of fear. Education plan can reduce Caesarean rate over 5.12%. Conclusion: Pregnant women training on how to reduce the number of caesarean section delivery and to encourage natural delivery is effective in decreasing the number of caesarean sections without medical reasons and women who have been trained consider cesarean only as a medical emergency.
