| چکیده | Background and Aim: Human T Lymphotropic Virus (HTLV) is member of Retrovieral family and the first human oncogenic retrovirus. This virus is endemic in many parts of world like Mashhad Iran, and cause two important diseases, Adult T Leukemia (ATL).there are three ways for transmission and transfusion of blood and its products. Since in most region of Iran donated blood units are not tested for HTLV infection, it is necessary to detected of Seroepidemiological prevalence of HTLV in donated blood of Kermanshah. Methods:In this descriptive analytic study, we study 400 blood donors that refer to blood transfusion organization of Kermanshah. Samples take from donors directly and demographic information's were recorded in special failes by personals of organization. The samples detected for anti HTLV1,2 antibodies by ELIZA methods and positive samples tested by WESTERN BLOT methods. Result was analyzed by spss-16. Results: In 470 blood donors in Kermanshah ,%90were men and%10 were women.one of blood donors (0.2%)was ELIZA positive for anti HTLV Ab but didn'tconfirmed WESTERN BLOT . Conclusion:The prevalence rate of Infection in blood donors in endemicregion in Iran was high insome regions of Iran. Keywords:Retrovirus, Andemic , Prevalence, Eliza, Western Blot |
