| چکیده | Fertility is the most important factor of demographic changes that affected the number, size and structure of the population. Changing family patterns, full-time employment of women, the modernity and Western lifestyles led to changes in the role of women in all aspects of life, including childbearing. Attitudes toward childbearing, social pressures for childbearing and control over needed resources, facilities and support, are three main factors of fertility intention. Given that the decision to bring or not bring the child are not formed randomly, and also it is needed to do theory-based study in the field of employment and childbearing in women. In this research by using 'perceived need model', we investigated women's childbearing intention. |

| نتیجه مقاله | Result: The results showed that the perceived need to childbearing, subjective norms about fertility and childbearing intention also showed no significant difference between employed and unemployed. But in view of the consequences of childbearing and perceived control about childbearing, there were significant differences between the two groups. Conclusion: Childbearing intention in housewives and employed women is similar. The employment does not have negative effect on childbearing intention. |
